Default Another CC question -

I purchased an '87 Laredo, the previous owner had torn the steering column apart, and now I can't figure out where all the cruise control pieces go. The blinkers work, the wipers work... but there's a black plastic piece that goes to the cruise control switch that I just can't place. Does anyone have a diagram for that portion only? Any help would be appreciated.

You have a 87 and are worried about cruise control... lol. Just be happy that it still runs well. I havn't had cruise control in a while on mine.

I suppose you're right. But it does work great - once we replaced the fuel pump. We just don't want to put the steering column and dash panel all back together without getting everything under it back together. So far *ahem* the only other thing found that needs fixing are the brakes, they're at 15%!

I understand I wanted all my stuff to work right too when I had it apart. But the thing is so OLD that everytime i try and fix something 4 other things stop working LOL.

I still wouldn't trade the 87 though.

Ahhh - so step away quietly and don't make eye contact... got it.

But on the serious side, are there any steering wheel innard diagrams so we can have an idea on this? If not, we'll just put 'er back together and try some puddle jumpin', and see what else we can dislocate.

The CC is operated on a vacuum so the most likely culprit is a vacuum leak somewhere.

If you get a FSM for your '87 it'll have an exploded view of your column.
