Default Angle Shims for Leaf Springs

been going down the check list for when i get the money together for when i order the lift kit i want and tires, and one of the things i have been wondering about is the angle shims for the rear axle/leaf springs to correct some of the driveline angle.

after much back and forth debating, i have decided to go with a 6.5" lift (regular short arm kit) and 35x12.5x15 tires. when it comes to correcting the angle of the drive shaft, i want to make sure everything gets done right he first time, and i want to put some shims in. the debacle i have is should i go with 2degrees, 4degrees, or 6degrees of correction. i'm thinking 4 degrees should be fine, and being pared with a SYE, but i'd like to hear what others have experienced with using these, and would less or more angle be needed for my desired set up.

thanks in advanced guy/gals.

4 degree shims and a 1" TC drop kit is what my son's 6.5" lift kit from RC came with to correct DS vibes. If you get the SYE and a CV DS then you don't need any degree shims.

what about the DS and the slip-yoke on your son's ride? is it a stock shaft or longer CV style? i would imagine at 6.5" you would outright have to change the DS anyways.
