Default AMC 360 cutting out

My 1982 Cherokee Laredo has the standard AMC360 V8 engine & an Edelbrock carb runs s for about 20 minutes & then cuts out completely & won't restart for about another 20 minutes, after which it fires up again without any problems.

I've changed the electronic ignition unit, coil & fuel filter & the fuel filter doesn't look to be empty so I assume the fuel pump is OK.

Can anyone tell me if there's any sneaky valves or cut outs etc hidden away that might be causing this please?

Any & all suggestions welcome because it's driving me nuts!

That could well be it as the spark at the plug does look weaker...... I'll check it out. Thanks

Any other suggestions from anyone?

Only three things needed to run fuel, air and spark. If ones weak or missing when issue arises pretty straight forward fix.

It's also fitted with an ignition immobiliser & I'm rather tempted to disconnect that just in case it's faulty......

You've done a good job so far, especially with the Ignition Control Module. Those things can cause weird issues. Keep the other one in the Jeep with you as a spare.

Pick-up coil as freegdr suggests would be worth a try.

I was rather hoping there might be some kind of sneaky vacuum pipe or valve etc that I wasn't aware of & might need checking but no such luck apparently.

Ignition modules/pickup coils are notorious for crapping out when hot then working again when cooled off . Best bet get it to die and see what missing fuel or spark . Then proceed from there.
