So I'm trying to get this dual fan transmission cooler wired up. I wired it how it says I think. I I spliced the two wires coming from the fan into into one using a heat shrink butt connector then attached a 30 amp fuse and connected it to the orange wire on the relay. I attached the red wire to the pdc using a add a fuse putting it in the aux fan position. I attached the ground to the chassis and ran the yellow wire to the cab and attach it to a switch and then ran a ground wire from the switch to the battery negative. I'm not using the green wire. I wired everything up and tried it but I'm not getting anything. What could I be doing where do you think I messed up.
What kind of switch did you put in there? 2 prong? 3 prong? Sound to me like you need power to the switch to then power that Yellow wire?
It's a 3 prong switch. It has an accessory a ground and a 12v prong. I have the yellow wire connected to the relay and to the switch and then the ground is connected to battery now cause I wanted to see if that would change anything. The red wire is connected to the pdc so it should get power when it is in run. What else do I need to do. In the picture the orange wire is running down to the fans and connects there. There is a 30 amp inline fuse in between like the instructions say. The black wire on the relay is grounded to the chassis. The red wire is connected at the pdc with a add a fuse at the aux lmps. I cut the green wire cause I'm not using it. 2 ground wires for transmission cooler fan are here
Test light (or multimeter). Probe each terminal looking for 12V
My personal practice includes the following; write on the relay with silver perm marker, its function. Attach a yellow harness tag with black perm marker what it is
You will love yourself at some later stage, or the next owner will say nice words about the PO
I soon have to "fix up" the POsss electrical mods. I do not know what the **** all the relays installed by various POs are for, there is wiring everywhere, its a mess

Lol yeah all the wiring can get messy. It's looking like a mess in my engine bay rn. I'll get it all cleaned up after I get that fan hooked up. How do I go about testing it finding out where I went wrong I've never used a test light or multimeter before so I'm kind of lost on what to do. Sorry I sound like a goon I don't really do much electrical work and I thought this would be a simple follow the directions and turn it on type of deal. If I can't get this figured out I'm just gonna take it to a shop and let them mess with it
