Default alternator vs water

I've ruined three alternators wheeling lately in deep mud/water. The store is replacing this one because warranty but it seems there got to be a better way to prevent this. Can u seal an alternator with spray silicone or buy a waterproof one or what? I'm tired of changing them everytime I get in some deep slop

You can make a splash guard under the engine bay to help deflect water and debris, or if you are skilled enough you can relocate the alternator higher on the engine

Yea....I started to wonder and was afraid a splash guard might make it worse in some situations
