Default alternator conversion...

Hey guys... couldn't find the info that i am looking for so I will ask. I have a 00 xj with a 124 amp alternator. I can't seem to find another in the local parts stores to replace it with. I don't want to go smaller. What year Grand cherokee would fit mine? Thanks for the advice!

Dont know what part of MI you live in but O'Reilly Auto Parts lists a 136 amp rebuilt with a lifetime warrenty for the XJ(atleast for my 97 they do) it says some stores stock them. Might be something else to look into.

I replaced one on my truck with a Motorola alternator. It comes with a lifetime warranty and has stator taps to wire 110AC. When mine fails on the XJ this is what I will be buying.
