Default Alternative Temp. Sensor Ideas? I Messed Up...

So I am an idiot, and wanted to do a simple replacement of a temp. sensor on the back of my block. New sensor required the valve cover to come off to get a 6 point socket around it to screw it in. I got the cover off and was rather pleased with myself, got the sensor kind of snug and went to take the socket off and I slipped. Broke the sensor inside the block.

I did good I know. Can I tie into the sensor on my tstat so I can have a functioning temp gauge? I suppose I will take any ideas, because there is no way in hell that sensor is coming out of my engine...

Are there any options that a noob can complete in under 4 hours?

Thanks.

From what i hear I'm pretty sure you gotta pull the head to get it out. I don't know of any way to wire them together to make the guage work I'm sure they probably put out two different electric currents. Hope you come up with something

Your easiest option would probably be to T off the thermostat housing and use both sensors there.

Or - They make a sleeve where you cut the upper radiator hose and insert the sleeve - it has a 1/4" NPT hole for the sensor.
Check out ebay.

Here's one -
