i have a 97 cherokee with a custom rock bumper on front. buying an older 93 cherokee and wondering if the bumper would fit on the new one or not. thanks.

 

on older xj's (97 or below) you will have to trim more so ya it will fit. Especially if anyone else ever tried transfering an aftermarket rear bumper from a 97 or older to a newer one, then there would be problems with your rear hatch clearence to the bumper because of the wider metal hatches instead of the old narrow fiberglass ones.
But yeah your front bumper won't be a problem switching it out.
