Default Heated Seat Failure

I know heated seats aren't common in XJ's but I got lucky when I bought my new 2000. The thing is that my passenger side heated seat works but my driver side only blinks the light on the button and never turns on. Any help will be appreciated guys.

check all the fuses. also, it may be an element in the seat has broken. I have a broken element in one of my car's seats, and it heats the lower but not the back cushion.

I believe you can test the element with a simple electrical tester.

Thanks, yeah I already checked the fuses, I guess I will go tear my seat cushion out now to check....

all you should have to do is locate the electrical connectors for the elements, disconnect them and use a tester to check them. they should be under the seat, possibly clipped to the frame of the seat.
