Default All terrain tires?? Help!

Hey everybody. So Im going to be buying a new set of tires for my xj soon. Its my daily driver but I also venture out about every weekend. Im looking for an A/T tire that performs very well offroad. (as well as an A/t can). Im looking at the pro comp a/t's. does anybody out there in xj land run these? any other suggestions? thanks

if your looking at those i would look into the General Grabber AT2s i think they may be cheaper but seem a little more aggressive. I had em with 30s but went to m/t when i went higher.

I'm in the same boat, I think I'm gonna go with Hankooks not because of reputation or known performance but because I can get em cheap through my shop. What size are you going with? I think I'm going 235/75-15.

Not much help just another option.

General grabbers at2 will be your best bet if you are on a budget.

what wheel size, I've been very happy with my Nitto terra grapplers on my ram but think they only go down to a 16in wheel.

If you're really wheeling EVERY weekend why not take something more aggressive?

I said about every weekend. and Mainly cause I put a lot of street miles on my xj. and In the spring Im driving my xj back to my home town in michigan. so about 1300 miles on high way. I figured an a/t would have good high way manners. Any other suggestions? what m/t's are good street performers as well?

Im running 15x8 steels with 4.5" backspacing

Ok so my questions is, is the performance and overall quality of the General worth spending $80 over the cost of Hankook or Kumho?

I like the guard dogs from treadwright They're basically the same as the Goodyear MTRs. Very well mannered M/T.

I wouldnt want to be driving that much on a superswamper either. lol I dont blame you.

Not really in my opinion, but I buy treadwrights for that reason right there. The Goodyear MTR isnt worth 100$ more than the Treadwright with the same pattern.

also the 31 10/5 in treadwrights are the same height as my 32 11.5 KM2s though the are a little narrow.

yea haha believe me I would love to get some killer m/t's but I just cant do it when I got to put some serious miles on my xj. I wish I could but its my only vehicle now. Im graduating college and heading back to michigan in spring so I need a good road tire. Next set will be m/t's after this. haha

I thought treadwrights were re-treads?
