Airbag Light/Dead Gauges Issue

my airbag light is on all the time, an dash not working, i cleaned conectors on dash cluster, an nothing, un-pluged airbag control unit under seat left hand side, an nothing, nightmare, poss gonna try a new airbag control module???

Zombie thread! Mine has similar issues, so I am going to try this before replacing the clock spring. It's wild to think that these posts from almost 10 years ago still provide value to the Cherokee community.

I had been fighting this on my '98 XJ since I bought it last summer. Removed the cluster, packed the connections on the back with dielectric grease, made sure it was solid when reassembled and haven't had a problem since. About a 20 minute job.
