Hi, all. I'm new to post here but have been a long time absorber of knowledge and could use the advice. 2001 jeep xj 2wd. 2nd owner, knew the first, obtained at 127k mi and currently has 320k still on original engine and trans. I have repaired or replaced everything myself and have only ever worked on this vehicle so my knowledge is not the must expansive.
I overhauled my entire cooling and ac system last summer (did not include heater core; in texas it doesnt get cold enough so never bothered. Idk if thays a mistake or not) well i was replacing radiator and accidentally disconnected my ac condensor line. Yes, blew up in my face.
Now, what do I need to do? I know they say replace drier? But I was wondering if I can get away with just vacuuming and refilling 134a? And as far as oil, is it pag? And where does it need to be emptied and refilled? Is there anything I am missing or any advice? Thank you for any input as texas summer is hitting right now!
