Default Ac question

I put a new evaporator core and new expansion valve on my xj and I'm replacing the dryer and two ac lines. I plan to vacuum the ac system and refill with freon, but I need to know if I need to add oil to the system and if so how much and what kind. Thanks for any info.

I presume u are/have converting/converted to r134a. U need to find out how many ozs of oil for your model year. The condenser should be flushed, to remove crud and old oil. The compressor should be removed and turned upside down to drain old oil. Add 1/2 of the correctly measured new oil to the new dryer and other 1/2 to compressor. Have a vacuum pulled and the correct measurement (ozs) of refrigerant for your year model added.

Any ideas on where to find the amount of oil needed for ac components. And oops I forgot to mention it's already been converted to r134a and it's a '90 so it was r12 originally.

Might want to Google search and see what info's out there. Maybe someone has a '90 FSM and will post back with info. The kiddo and I did our a/c overhaul coming up 2 years ago....still have 34F at the center vents.

Ok, thanks. 34F sounds nice.
