I swapped my heater core a few months ago and did the evaporator while I was in there. I’m just now getting around to hooking all the ac stuff up and one of the lines on the evaporator is slightly bigger than the old evaporator so the line that’s supposed to connect to it won’t snap on. It’s definitely bigger, I found a socket that would just slide into the new evaporator but won’t slide into the old evaporator. What gives? This isn’t a problem I expected to have and I don’t know how I’m going to solve it. Does anyone here know the answer? It’s hot here. I can’t use the Jeep with my family unless I can get the ac working.
You need to lube the orings with a/c oil and twist and push it together at the same time , sometimes they are hard to put together . you need to have the orings oiled or they will try to come out of the groove .
