(95 jeep xj sport 4x4 h.o) My fan quit working both ac and heat. Started to play with it, then Only the defrost worked. when I turned the key back towards me the fan pushed out air? but when the engine is running NOPE.
Makes a wierd noise too. cant realllyy describe it. Maybe like a old deflated balloon. ANY HELP IS NEEDED.

Check voltage at the blower motor. If it's funky yank the control out of the dash and check the connector & switch.

is the control under the glove box. the plug near the sliver bowl/lever deal?

So your fan "doesn't work" but blows air out of the defrost port??? Can you try explaining again but a little less excited? Because that's a vacuum leak affecting the direction doors.

Sorry about that. Originally the fan quit completely. Then after moving some stuff around the defrost came on. After calling a buddy he told me to wiggle the key a round. I did that and every thing came back. Im going to bring it to hte local mechanic to fix. my ignition is really sloppy. Thanks for every thing.
