Ok so i just bought this 94 jeep cherokee and noticed the ac fan was unpluged I pluged it in and drove around and when I shut it off it continued to run came back 5 mins later and it was still running is there something that controls that for the delayed shut off

Two things involved.
1. The relay for the e-fan. Located in the power distribution center (black box on passenger side) under the hood on my 99. I'd assume it would be there for your 94 too.
2. The coolant temperature sensor
Start by swapping the e-fan relay with another one in the PDC. They are of the same part number, so they can be safely swapped for troubleshooting purposes.

i know some will continue to run for a while after shut down as they are supposed to but how long im not sure, mine when its hot would run for around 10min but that was before i added a switch to the circuit so i could have full control of it.
