Inline 6, 4wheel drive.

I charged my ac with 1 can of freon. {Small}
It still blew kinda warm...
The clutch was at least kicking in though.

I added another can the other day.

Today, on the way to work, I started hearing a loud grinding from the front end. I have what appears to be steam coming from my passenger dash vent. I stopped, fearing it was smoke, and couldn't smell anything. Opened the hood, and the grinding sounds like it's from the compressor. Any suggestions on how to proceed?

I sure like having ac.
