Default AC clutch and electric fan

My 2000 Jeep Cherokee 4.0 the electric fan and AC clutch stopped working at the same time. I have replaced both the fan relay and AC clutch relay, also checked all fuses but am not getting any power to the fan or AC clutch. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

foolish question. do you have freon in your system? low or no freon will cause the low pressure switch to shut down power to the ac clutch. fan kicks on when clutch is energized or coolant temp hits (217 ?)

Default Not a foolish question

I do AC work so yes there is freon in the system also I know the electric fan cut on at higher temp. I have a check engine light on and the code is problem with fan relay circuit. I work on cars all the time so I know how to rule out the most common issues but this one is not. When I said any help would be appreciated I did not mean from ego maniacs who think they know more then everyone else. I thought this site was for people in the Jeep community to help each other not to call people foolish but I guess you are so smart XjBeast96 you know everything.

........ I don't think he was being an ego maniac, he was just offering some simple advice in case you aren't someone who works on cars and on AC all the time. Perhaps if you're going to get all defensive like that you should preface every post you make with "I have worked in an auto body shop for 10 years and 5 of those have been me specifically working with AC systems" or something like that. Personally I think you're seeming like more of an ego maniac than XjBeast96

i think xjbeast was saying that his question of the refrigerant being low was foolish, not your initial question. chill bro. this aggression will not stand, man lets all take a deep breath and relax.
now did you check if the ecm is grounding the relay? is the cel a p1491?
grab the wiring diagram and enable the ac and check for ground at the blue and pink(i think) wire at the pdc. let us know.

wrong guess I am in my late 30's and have posted on other sites. I may have taken the foolish part wrong. I took it as my question was foolish not being asked about the freon. I do apologize if that was the case and I do appreciate the help.

It is coolant temp activated but I read somewhere that the power for the fan ran through the same circuit as the AC clutch and they both stopped working at the same time. So from what others say on here it might be a ground so if they share the same ground that could be it. I have to check that today.

Does the e-fan work when the air if off?
Remember the engine needs to get around 200* to kick the fan on.

Thanks for the apology. I would try throwing power to the fan, and then the compressor, see if you can get them to turn on. If they do then you ruled out the fan, compressor, and relays. Could be a control head.
