parked the jeep 6 weeks ago, AC worked fine( on high only , wont blow on low or medium ). Dead battery and lots of overtime so I just got back to it. Installed new battery, no AC. Fuse labeled BLOWER is busted. Replaced fuse, blew it out in no time. Ideas where to look ? Fan or switch ?


I did look online for new controls, could not find anything at quadratec

 

Not sure if the 84 has it but check the blower motor resistor

 

no resister on the 84

 

Then it sounds like you have a broke/pinched wire some where grounding out

your right.....had to check another site. will pull it off and get back to you

 

Only having high speed means its shot replace it maybe it will solve your new issue.

I pulled it, not quite sure what to look for , did not see any burn marks etc on it. Cheap part, will order a new one anyway.

 

Had a similar problem on my friends Honda. Replaced the resistor and problem solved. You can't tell its bad by looking at it
