i heard that the ac compress or can be converted into a regular air compressor is there any truth to this and if so how.

it can be.. there is one brand that makes a product to convert yours and stuff but i dont remember what its called.. i saw it in jp magazine

 

When I was building low riders, I had a friend with a mazda b2200. He put air line on his ac compressor and ran it to a tank. The only other thing he did was put an air filter on the inlet side. He also would add oil every once in awhile. His ac compressor was a ton faster then my on board air compressor at 80 percent duty cycle.
