Default AC TROUBLE

I have recently found out it is a leak in the Evap CORE does anyone have a step by step link for changing this out, or a link to do so???? They said it was like 8 hours of labor. Please help I hate giving my money to dealerships.

You have to almost remove dash from cab to install hence 8 hrs .shop around for better deal there out there.

It's blasphemy to some around here but... I'll tell you what I did. Went to Walmart and bought a can of this stuff.

If your leak is small enough that your refrigerant lasts two weeks, this may seal it. I did it on mine last year and it lasted the summer. I had to recharge with another can of r134 a couple of months ago but it's still blowing cold.

It may buy you some time until you can get that evaporator taken care of. Me, I'm dreading that job so to me, I don't mind throwing in a can of refrigerant a year.
