ABS light on, no fault codes
Bit of a strange one, my ABS light has been coming on randomly over the last few weeks. Today I took it into the garage with the light on to get the code read. When it was on the scanner, no code was detected, took it for a test drive, all the sensors displayed correct speeds etc when driving but the ABS light stayed on. Re-start the engine and normal service is resumed, however I know it will come up again at some stage.
Anyone got any idea why the Jeep would throw up an ABS light but no fault code, even when the code reader can see the data from each sensor? Any help much appreciated.

It seems to be an early warning of a sensor (or it's wire) failing but identifying which one is tricky. I just ask my friendly neighbourhood mobile mechanic & his very expensive bit of kit tells me which one it probably is - no guarantees, but they.ve not been wrong yet. £20 well spent I'm forced to admit; although it was £30 last time, perhaps because he came to me as I had 2 to check.
