Default ABS Light On After Car Wash

I got car wash last week with an under carriage spray. The ABS light came on immediately and has stayed on ever since. The are no codes stored. I installed a front locker (Spartan) two days ago and the front ABS sensors/connections looked OK.

I'm just wondering if anyone had this happen and found a quick fix, before I start digging into this problem. Thanks.

Have the abs system scanned. You can't do it with one of the regular obd scanners.

If the light is on, then the abs has a fault code. And the code should lead you to your problem area

OK, thanks. This happened once before and it went away in a few days. I guess I'll wait for a while longer and see what happens.

Check all the relays and fuses, there's like 4-6 for the ABS alone on my '92 in the engine bay fuse box. Could've just been an exposed wire that got wet and shorted out.

Thanks, that's a good place to start. A visual check didn't show anything yesterday, but I did find a loose rear shock bolt and was finally able to reproduce a squeak in the rear end that's been driving me crazy...all I need now is to have another big fat guy to jump up and down on the receiver hitch while I'm underneath.

I'll pull/clean and re-seat the fuses/relays this morning.
