Sup guys..... Well i have this problem with my 99 xj.... It had a rebuilt transmission and torque converter in july...... I started noticing drops or transmission oil the floor and they would make a perfect line... So to make a long story short it ha been to the transmission shop twice and problem not solved.... Yesterdayi was going fishing and it started leaking after about an hour drive.... So i made a u turn and went back home....after it cooled down i drove it around and not a single drop... Has anybody had this problem a friend told me i might need an after market cooler could that be it help me out guys

need more info.. Which trans do you have?? Standard or Auto?? Year/make/ engine?? etc.. location of leak?

Automatic xj 99 4.0 stock transmission the oil tends to build up on the cross member and them drops making the perfect line transmission shop has not figured it out today is the 3rd time it goes in

ok, thanks for the info. Check the tail housing.. see if there is any fluids coming out while vehicle is running. The output shaft seal tends to go bad and only leaks while the vehicle is running. And probably even more while in motion.. its where you driveshaft connects to the transmission.
