ok make this story short if i pull out in D the rpms go high like 3000 before it budges. but when i pull out in 1,2 or 3 its snappy and wants to go asap. what could this be?

 

Did you do any work to it. Like mess with kick down cable or change fluids in trans.

 

Sounds like kickdown cable needs an adjustment. There are a ton of right ups about it basically with xj off there is a button on the top of the one cable press it in and hold it open throttle all the WA by hand release the button then release the throttle. If that doesn't work let us know.

 

alright thanks alot guys and yes i had the cables disconnected from the tb during the motor swap and ill try that out tomoorw morn thanks

 

if it's throwing a check engine light, sounds like solenoid pack in tranny.

 

no cel and kick down cable didnt work
