So, I'm dumb. I backed into a tree and smashed my liftgate and bumper and blew out the window. I was going to go to the junk yard to try and find a liftgate. Does anyone know what years XJ I can pull a liftgate from? 97-01? Will any 97-01 work on my 99 XJ? I will probably have to buy the bumper online and I found a couple places for that. Yes, I know, I'm dumb :-)

 

97-01 will work, anything earlier won't though. If your rear wiper motor still works, consider pulling that out as a spare just in case the one you get in a JY liftgate is dead.

Now's a good chance to get yourself an aftermarket bumper!

 

Thanks! Yeah, I just put in a rear wiper motor so I will keep as much of my old liftgate as I can while I replace it just in case I need something. Yeah, I am checking out some bumpers. I replaced my front one with an aftermarket and I really like it. Another project!
