Feels, and acts like a fuel flow problem, but the fuel pump assembly is brand new. Coughs, sputters, surges and will just flat lose all mechanical power while driving. Changing plugs, wires and distro cap. Still thinking it may be the injectors?

Will it run it run with starting spray? If so, then it's definitely fuel delivery.
Do you have spark?
Does it restart after cooling down? If so, I would look at the crank position sensor. The injectors are pretty simple and I would not expect them to all fail at the same time. Have you checked the fuel pressure at the rail when it won't run/start? Should be ~50 psi.

Could be clogged or failing fuel injectors. Also check the fuel filter, pressure regulator, or a weak ignition coil. Even with a new pump, bad fuel or debris could cause issues.

Need more info. Fuel pressure should be tested.
