Hey guys,

I've got a 98 xj with power windows which all work from the drivers switch panel. They work very irregularly from the individual door switches. I can tell if they are going to work because the small green light on the switch is on when they work and not when they don't. I have tried cycling the window cancel button and it does nothing. Haven't really looked into it too far. It wondering if anyone has had this issue or had any advice.

had same problem with my 99. I pull passenger door panel off and pull out the connector and i took a super tiny wire brush and clean all the terminals then plugged it back in and it worked better for a little while. now it stops working every now and again but it i ride with my window lock on until some1 needs to roll it down and then shut the window lock off, it usually works. I miss having manual windows :P

 

I'll take that for a test drive. Thanks. Manual windows are great cause they just about always work! Can't say that I hate the convenience of electric when they work though.
