Default '98 XJ Washer Fluid Pump replacement

Hi guys,

I've been through the forum for the past day looking at old posts about various windshield wiper problems. My front fluid pump is not working. The electrical from the passenger side kick box seems fine.

I have seen many write-ups that skip right to the step of "removing the washer reservoir". My question is this: What should I take apart first? The wheelwell? The fender? from inside the hood? Please give me a clue where to start so I can tackle this project this weekend. Thanks!!

Hey man, I actually have been wanting to do this for some time now, today I may finally get to it. My front washer pump Dosent work. It's a 12$ part at autozone. I know you have to raise the jeep and take off your front driver side wheel, then take the splash guard out of the inside of the wheel well. Far as I know theyll be right there, but I guess well see. I'll keep you posted! I'll try to take pix too.

Hey man just did this. Super easy, took an hour. Just be ready to recycle your old fluid or have a new bottle handy. It's this one that's nice n clean haha
