But I keep it off when I'm sitting as to not overheat it or anything

The P0463 code has my interest. Telling me something is already suspect with the fuel pump module assembly.

Seeing as how what you are originally describing could be caused by a fuel issue, I would start doing the diagnostics for fuel. Pressure gauge, harness/wiring checks, stuff like that. Do one thing at a time. Record results. Knock things out one at a time, and eventually you'll find the culprit.

Do you have a FSM?

When this first happened I checked pressure. Was getting 50psi right where it should be from what I understand. I do not have a FSM

Do yourself a favor, and get one here. Best $8 you'll ever spend on your XJ.

Has everything you'll ever need to do diagnostics/troubleshoot.

Also, did it hold pressure?

I'm w/roninofako. I believe your best plan is to resolve the fuel pump code first then see what happens, if anything. Definitely check all related wiring closely also and clean connectors, plugs, pins. May be an unpleasant task but necessary.

Keep us in the loop on progress.

So much this. Check the obvious wiring points, connector under the gas tank, closest to the fuel pump first, see if it's loose, wiggling, had a pin unseat, etc....check the harness all around there, track as much of it as you can visually, look for any obvious damage. If you have a voltmeter, you can check voltages as well...but I highly suggest getting the PDF manual first, it shows all the pinouts, voltages...everything.

If all that checks out, try what 4WD suggested earlier, with the wrap. But be methodical, do one thing at a time, record results. It may take a while. Especially because it's intermittent. But, if you do it one step at a time, methodically, you will have a great baseline/outline of what fixed it...rather than trying several things at once, and not knowing. And, by all means...ask questions, if I can't help you, someone else here will, LOL...

I am by no means an expert or professional mechanic. But I've learned over time, with tons of help from this forum. So far I've been able to do everything to keep my jeep on the road, with a little help from my friends here. We got your back, cammy!

Cammy, this is from a totally different thread, but has a great example of the wealth of knowledge the FSM holds...click on the pdf and open it.

https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f59/ho...9/#post3417318

When I say it has everything, I mean it, it has everything. For $8, it is well worth it. I have gotten FSM's for almost every vehicle I've ever owned...some are better than others...the Cherokee ones are some of the most detailed and well laid out I've ever seen.

I'm starting to think it might be fuel delivery. I went to go take off to find somebody that I heard Bailey thing around in the Backwoods and the Jeep didn't want to move for a couple of seconds it moved slowly but it wasn't happy about it. I'm wondering if it is fuel delivery.
