hey all First off luv this site very helpful so just joined officially and just bought a 98 xj and just installed a 2.5” lift in it holy I didn’t know what I was getting into that’s forsure but anyways now I am having this problem literally bought it a month ago been ordering the Lift and installing just drove for first time a few days ago now my headlights won’t turn off for me! So I get firmiliar with the multi-function switch and the light **** u pull or push or turn and have it all where it should be so it’s not something obvious so next I’m having to disconnect battery each time I turn off engine so it doesn’t drain and I need to get a boost and that’s just suckin up gas cuz of how it keep resetting each time I connect battery. Now it’s canadian so I have the DRL module (know nothing about electric stuff or where it’s loctated yet) just saying in case this is related to problem. But so I start unplugging fuses checking for a bad fuse and that’s when I come to find it’s not my DRL, or low beam but the only fuse that shut off my lights when engine is off and left for a couple minutes is if I unplug the high beam left and right fuses if I recall fuse # 4&5. The 10amp or volt whatever they are, they red ones lol so yes it’s my high beams that are constantly on no matter what but on the dash the high beam indicator isn’t lighting up even when I turn them on with the multi function switch. And also just wondering if this would be related but wen I changed the driver leaf spring there was a panel or some cover protecting some wires just behind wheel well rear corner of vehicle but was all rusted and corroded so when I hit it well it all came down exposing the wires so again not sure if it could be related but just putting everything out here...really need advice and plan on doing whatever work I can to my xj myself to get firmilar with fixing vehicles and not having to get scammed by a mechanic ( no offfense to the honest mechanics out there) plz help
