98 XJ electrical bugs, starter, horn, etc.
So I have been driving the XJ more since the snow but it usually doesn't get driven but once a week or less. I just replaced the NSS due to having to jiggle the shifter and it kept my remote start from working. Anyways the other day I drove it and put it in park and heard the starter engage and grinding, same thing for neutral but in drive it went away. This has been off and on and the past few days it might do it but it may not. It went a day or two without doing it.
Last night the horns start blowing by themselves and it seemed like it would do it when I opened or shut a door but it also has been random too. I'm thinking something might be jarring it to set them off. Also I was driving and the horns started on and off occasionally and eventually I seen a spark from the fuse box, which I believed was the horn fuse that blew, which I replaced. A little later I started hearing a relay buzzing which was the rear defroster relay. I pulled it out.
Today I switched known working relays for the horn without any luck on the horn issue. I disconnected power to my aftermarket alarm/remote start without luck. I replaced the ignition switch to try to solve the horn and starter issue, no luck. I swapped the starter relays without luck. It seems to set the starter off grinding when I mess with the harness that runs down the passenger side from the firewall to the front behind the headlight but I cant say for sure that this is the cause. The grinding is intermittent.
I am so lost at things to check but I just want my jeep running back to normal. PLEASE HELP

The horn might have something to do with your clock spring.
