Default Rear nut strip

Jeep newbie
What direction do nut strips go into frame ? Recieved a set from aftermarket Vendor. Strip has a right/left angle on ends . Which end goes in first ??

The 90 degree angle goes in first. What year is your XJ? '97+ have the passenger side nut strip installed from the factory for the exhaust hanger bracket.

I purchased G&G metal fabrication . Well made nut strips. My problem was while changing out exhaust hander my original nut strip broke and had one bolt just spinning and unable to tighten it back up. Ended up cutting off bolt with a sawsall and installed new ones on both sides in the event I add a tow hitch . Used plenty of "never seize" just case.
Took longer to remove bumper than install strips

I know what you mean. Next time I have to remove the bumper I think I might just drill some holes to insert a ratchet extension through the bumper. I wonder if that would work. Then just insert plastic plugs when done. What the heck, its a Jeep.
