Default 98 XJ with A/C drain issue

My drain for the ac has stopped working. I have blown it out with an air compressor and also hooked up the shop vac to it. Works for a day then leaks all over the passenger side floor.
I had the heater core and ac condenser replaced two months ago. Is it possible the idiots didn't connect the drain right? Can I get to it without removing the whole dash? Or can I safely drill a hole in the pan from the passenger side and run a new drain line down through the floorboard?

careful, you might get critters thinking that tube through the floor is a new home.

Try to do it right.

Does doing it right require removing dash? How can I get to it?

mine did that, But turns out the floor was rusted under the rubber seam right above the rubber flap you will see it if you take carpet out on that side.
well i cut out the rust and put marine fiberglass in there and no more inside leaks.
i looked for that drain and could not find it.

I see that the leak is coming from between the plastic cover/pan and the firewall. Has anyone tried caulking that connection before??

I had to cut a hole out of the side to get to the drain tube. From there you can fanagle some sealant around it as well as attach a hose to the drain end and run it further down the frame so as it dont drain back.

Heres the drain hose. I blew mine out with air to no avail. Not until I could get in and clean it out did it work.
