Ok here is my situation, I have a 98 ZJ with a good engine and transmission, but I recently damaged the front end. I have found someone selling a 99 WJ with a engine that had thrown a rod. As I would not be able to swap body parts from the WJ to my ZJ I was hoping to be able to swap the entire engine and transmission from my 98ZJ to the 99WJ. My question is, Is this possible? Will the engine and transmission mounts match up? If the only difference is in the wiring are there any solutions to get around this issue? It is shown here that the engine blocks are different but will the block and all from my 98 fit into the 99?
