Question 98 jeep cherokee sport

its a 4x4 auto its getting no spark put a new coil new cps new distibutor etc used computer ran for 2 days messes up again and no power to coil again now nss is messed up only turns over in nuetral any idea's will be help full

a bad NSS will cause all of that. Install a new one or clean the old one

i got a new one thats a heck of a lot cheaper than going to a parts store $100 plus shipping...let me know its like $250 new

why would you go through the work to bypass the sensor switch and compromise the original design/safety intent when the job to clean it and restore the functionality is much easier? You do realize by doing that permanently you have no reverse lights as well right?

you can, but the jeep wont like it much. messes up shift points, sets off a CEL and kills the cruise control. i wouldn't do it unless your stuck out in the middle of nowhere and choices are limited.

hmm, I seem to have no nss, I can start in gear (manual), my reverse lights work and no CEL I wonder what those monkeys at the university of texas el paso did to it before I bought it. I know they can't bolt in a transmission.

Helloim looking to buy this jeep
98 2 dr sport and theres some rot on the frame , is there somewhere
i can get a diagram with dimensions of the frame
Preferably in a DWG/DXF format
is there a websie like that

^ This. Be very gentle with it and hopefully you can be done in ~2 hrs.
