98 jeep cherokee fuel gauge problem
Hey! I filled up and my guage went up to full then dropped to empty and then stayed in the middle. Is this a bad gas guage or a bad sending unit? Any help would be great.

This will require you to crawl under the back of your jeep. While there check to see if you have a loose wire. Mine did something similar and stopped once I added an extra ground to my fuel tank.

Most likely a sending unit. Probably a sunk float or the rheostat on the sender is worn out. Chrysler has had problems with the sending units on all models.
