My drivers side power window switch has been acting sketchy for a long time. When the door is open, the switch wont work at all, on ANY of the doors. No power, no switch illumination, nothing. Sometimes wiggling the rubber boot/wire bundle near the hinges would help and they'd roll up. When the door is shut, they work fine. Until today. Now, I have NO power going to the master window switch. Mirrors and locks still work, but no power. The individual door switches still work. I figure there was a weak/shorted wire in the hinge area, that is now broken completely.
I've never looked inside the wire bundle. Are the wires color coded, and if so what color should I be looking to fix? Anybody got a color coded diagram?
Also, I did the window lock bypass fix on my XJ when I first got it, but now would be a good time to fix it "right". What color wire controls the lock? While I'm at it, my pass. side power mirror works horizontally, but not vertically. Does this sound like a wire, or a bad mirror motor?
Sheesh, I hate chrysler wiring.
Thanks a bunch.

doubtful it will be hard to figure out which wire is the problem it will likely look different than the others but pulling and bending them should make the problem wire rear its ugly head

Alright, that was MUCH easier than I expected. The wires were easy to find, they were broken almost in half. There were FOUR wires that needed repaired. Good news is, now my windows work from ALL switches, regardless of whether the doors are open or closed. My power mirrors also work great now.
Another question?? For some reason, when I plugged everything in and got it back together, my door locks will LOCK from the drivers door, but not UNLOCK. My keyless entry still works both ways. I figured out that if I unplug the 3-prong pigtail (that works the driver's door buzzer and dome light), the locks work fine. What the heck?
Anybody got any ideas?

Never mind, I got it figured out. Apparently it only does it with the keys in the ignition and the door open. I guess its some kind of "keep you idiots from locking your keys in your truck" feature. Anyway, everything works like new, and I am one HAPPY guy. Thanks for the diagram Radi.
