I had the engine in my Cherokee replaced. They didn't recharge the AC system, because a hose was kinked. The hose has settled now. I tried recharging the system, but the refrigerant leaks out of a tiny tube on the hard AC line (the one between the condenser and the firewall.
Any idea what that tiny tube hooks to? I assume when they replaced the engine, they just forgot to hook it up.

A pic is worth 1K words.....don't recall a "tiny tube" on the metal a/c hose between the condenser and firewall on our '98.

I yanked the line off. THAT sucked.
Once I turned it over, I found that somehow, the schrader valve (to fill it) had desintegrated internally and shot its insides dirently thru the line! Pretty cool.
