the transfer case in my daily driver jeep is completely shot and i can snag the 231 & anything else ill need from my buddies 92 cherokee

do they just bolt right up?, im kinda of in a pinch so im not to worried if the spedo plugs are different or anything like that. any info from anybody who's done this is appreciated.

 

I've never done it but might need to grab his drive line as the slip yoke may be a different teeth count than what yours is. Just a thought.

 

any more insight on this? i really just want to know if the 6 studs on the 231 are the same on the 242, and also wether or not they both mate right up to the aw4 regardless of wether or not its a 92' or 98' trans. the rest like the spedo, and driveshafts ill figure out

 

You'll need the linkage and shifter gate.

 

Both are 23 spl input, will bolt in.

 

alright much appreciated guys, good to know this'll work. im just gonna buy the whole jeep for $150 only thing wrong is the front end was crashed. so if anybody in the south jersey area needs stuff off a 92' laredo for cheap lemme know
