97 XJ HVAC Vacuum Line Disconnected?
Hello everyone, I'm the owner of a gorgeous 97 xj. I got my a/c compressor fixed a few weeks back and they told me that I have an inoperable blend door so all I have is defrost.
I decided this was a job that I could accomplish myself without paying for labor however before I even tore apart my dash I found a disconnected vacuum line on the interior of the glove compartment, as well as what looks like a disconnected vacuum line inside the engine compartment.
Sticking the disconnected interior line to the HVAC control lines shows me that all of my blend doors work as they actuate when I do this but flipping the actual switch does nothing which leads me to believe that this line needs to be connected to the switch somewhere.
On the backside of the switch are two white plastic nipples with nothing attatched and I believe that this is where this line needs to go...but then what to do with the other nipple?
Any help is appreciated, it's getting hot down here and a/c is one of those luxuries you really can't live without in the desert, thank you in advance!
