I have a 94 and its under the dash to the right of the steering wheel if that helps also if the relay clicks its probably good and you have a bad horn...Tj

Check the connections at the horns. My horn didn't work when I bought my XJ. Just cleaned up the connections and put them back on and Botta Bing horns work great.

Had the same problem as Bad, no sound but the relay clicks which shows that it is working. Test light or voltmeter to the wire connection on the horn. 12 volts shows that its a bad horn. You can also unbolt the horn and scrub the mounting screw clean and shiny and try that. I had to buy a new horn, 14 bucks at Oreilly's. Works like a charm.

If I wanted to splice on a new switch for my horn how would I go about doing that?

Are you saying that you want to put a new horn switch in your steering wheel or do you want to hook your horn wires up to an external switch like a push button?

Want to hook up an external switch like this one:

As I understand it, I hook one terminal to the wire that goes to the relay and the other to a ground. Does this sound like it'll work?
