Hi, I was recently in an accident that was a minor fender bender for me, but the toyota prius that hit me was not so lucky. Unfortunately my airbags went off, and most places I'm seeing say the 97 driver airbag is different than the 98-01 air bag.

Anyone know if this is true and what the difference is? They use the same controller, the clock spring is the same, my only guess is the mounting bolts may be different?

Any insight would be helpful

The 97 on look the same to me but i haven't tired to use them.
