'97 sport heated seats ?
Hi guys my '97 sport has a leather interior, probably the most comfortable seats I've ever sat in and that includes our very expensive leather sofa !
However, under the seats are cables which are currently plugged in to nothing none of the electric seat controls work and I suspect the seat mat well be heated, I could be wrong but there seems to be an element under the seat ?
So did the '97 sport have a leather interior or is this a replacement and if it did were there heated seats ?
Lastly where do the leads plug into assuming they're standard, the electrics must plug in somewhere but where ?

Sounds to me like you have seats that didn't come with your xj from the factory. To my knowledge only the limited came with leather. Maybe there grand Cherokee seats or xj limited seats. Post a pic that would probably get you a answer on whether they are factory or not.

Yeah, my 91 is a sport model. The only 91 XJ trim level that has fewer accessories than the Sport is the base model.

I think you could probably adjust the seat by running a jumper wire from the battery to the connector on the seat, just adjust it to where you need it and disconnect the jumper wire when done. I've never done this but it seems like it would work to me.

I use an iPhone and the way I post pics is to take one and push the plus symbol at the top right (next to send) to add it.

I'm not real sure of the differences the UK model would have but since the wires aren't connected I would guess their not original. Sounds nice and comfortable does the back seat match?
