hey guys its been awhile since ive posted up on here, but i could really use your help this time.
Swapping out my rusty leaking fuel tank, i broke the nipple for the fuel line coming off the end of the sending unit. it was pretty rusted too, so i might has well get a new one of those.
my problem is i cannot find the freakin thing anywhere
. Ive checked every parts store around and all over the web to the best of my ability. 97+ are everywhere as are 93ish and older. called the junk yard with no luck either
if anybody has the part number i need or even a link to who has it id really appreciate it!

I know that the parts are listed differently but 91-96 XJ's should use the same sending unit.
Take yours to a parts store and compare to an older available model.

well 95- aint gonna work because its OB1 and the electrical stuff is different. i went to the parts store and tracked down a 97+ and for some reason the are completely different looking. the the big hole on the tank is till on the front side in 97+ right? i would think so. either way the 97+ sending unit looked nothing like the one outa my 96.
so any other suggestions or leads or tips or whatever you may have on this lemme know. i wanna get the heep back out in action

Did you break one of the nipples on the housing that holds the pump, regulator and sending unit? If so it's scrapyard time- that is a one-year-only part and it is not available new anywhere. You can still get the fuel pump itself, but not the regulator or housing.

I have a 96 jeep cherokee with the fuel sending unit still in it. I was gonna use it but the wiring is different than my 92' cherokee. PM me if you want it bro.

The sending unit doesn't have a fuel line connection, it is a float on the end of a metal rod with an electrical connection.

Zack i just swapped in a pump from my 92 into my 94. The whole setup was different but it worked and the wiring was the same. Is your wiring different then obd1 ?

all of the setups ive seen look different from the 96 but as far as the wiring being different i just assumed it was. somebody posted a PN for me a couple of posts up. well that looks like it! im definitely happy about that, but the only site i could find is 4wp and they wont let me add it to my cart for some reason, like they have it listed but its out of stock or something, doesn't show a price either. i dunno i do feel like im getting somewhere finally tho, thanks for ur help nick and everybody else, ill be hitting u up on this subject
