Default 96 Xj dumped oil and trans fluid

So I drove my xj up to the snow a few days ago and it’s always had a small oil leak which I assumed was the oil filter adapter or valve cover gasket which are on my list. Already did the rms maybe 5k miles ago. But when I got to the parking lot up the massive amounts of hill we went up it burped a puddle of oil and was apparently leaking on the way up. Never had an issue like this before so I just checked my oil level which never changed and I went home after my day. Then on the way back down I stopped for some gas and my transmission line where it connects to the transmission in the plastic clip just dumped all of my trans fluid at the pump which was wonderful. Any reason this could’ve happened. Old gaskets and plastics? Driving too harsh up the hills? No problems shifting or any performance problems so it was kinda out of the blue. My whole front of the bell housing is soaked in oil and the underside of my car as well

When you did the rear main seal did you move the trans lines ? that could have put pressure on the clip .

I mean I definitely moved a bunch of stuff around but I did that in June and haven’t had any issues and I’ve driven this thing way harder that I did the other day. But the line definitely wasn’t sitting in the clip how it should be. Is there any way to fully remove the connector with the clip and put a different connector on? Like just completely get rid of the chance of another clip failing in the future?

I think you can get new clips and new fitting that come complete , I would replace the fitting because it also has a o ring that seals the line
here's one

Do u think I can get different connectors and run a rubber hi temp hose that’s more flexible so I don’t pull on it like I did? I feel like that might work better so I can prevent this from happening again

I would use the oem stuff it works just run the lines so it doesn't put any pressure trying to pull the line out and it is all the things that hold it down.

Okay. Should I do the whole connector or just the clip?
