Default 96 trans in a 92 harness

ok many of you have seen the "jeep thing" build i'm in the thick of ,well here's where i stand.. i stripped a 92xj 6cyl auto... with 200k i had a trans with nice fluid and 130k on it from a 96 sitting in the shop so i put it in the build... i have 2 plugs off of the trans harness from the 96 that have no match in the 92 harness.. went to make the truck move last night and i have no gears forward or reverse.... yes it has fluid, the converter bolts are in, the tcase is engaged, and all that jazz... know one of the plugs comes from the transfer case selector switch the other seems rather important.. thinking it has to do with my not moving.. anybody played with this can i wire up a manual lockup on the converter something to that effect?
