96 tc in a 94 country
I have a 96 tc will it work in my 94--And what would I need to do too make it work if different. I can see the tailshaft housings is not the same. what else is wrong.

Do you know if they are the same,231,242?there should not be a difference in them if they are the same model,it is on the case.

Upon closer inspection both are 231 j's and all the plugs are the same the only difference I can see is the tailshaft area. Also the newer trans is dated 10-95 that is why I staed it was a 96. My tailshaft is enclosed and the newer model is exposed with a rubber boot. both lengths I beleive are the same. Will this work or will I need to change out the shaft and housing.

Just so they are the same I would change out the tailshaft only takes a moment,I would have to see them to know what the difference is. I am sure someone will chime in that knows the difference.
