I had B in my 93 Country. It was nice to have cupholders but my girlfriend at the time used to complain that it cut into her legroom, heh heh.

Well I told her the alternative was to be holding my coffee everytime we went anywhere.

But when I bought my 98 it was a real perk to have built-in holders...

lol yah. well my friend an '06 mini cooper S. i LOVE that car. and he had reed diffusers in them from yankee candle and it made that car smell so good. scent is evening air. and omg. i had to buy em to put in my jeep. so i went and bought a cupholder from target and got that lock tape stuff and it sits on the shift bezel right beside the shifter. i dont like the set up very much its unstable. it holds but it wobbles. it spilled one time and stained the console plastic stuff. sooo..im so glad ive found style B. im gonna order it soon (after i pay $206 tomorrow to have my steering column broken down to put in a new blinker switch...it has a short and my window sprayer quit).

I couldnt live without my cupholders. The Cherokee is a great road-trip car, and road trips mean a lot of coffee.

This car holds a lot of gear, has a kickass engine and gets decent highway mileage. Bit of road noise, so we have to crank up the sound system. We take about 2 trips a year with Old Reliable, and thats where most of my recent mileage has come from. We talk about getting something newer and always feel like it wouldnt be the same in any other vehicle.

My avatar photo is from camping in the Smoky Mountains last spring. Headed out that way again in a month. Breathtaking down there, never seen such pristine wilderness.

dude thank you so much for posting this! you seriously have no idea how stoked i am about having cup holders haha. this jeep is my second car, my first car was a 1986 Pontiac Firebird. I miss that thing so much, but I always HATED that it didnt have cup holders, so thats something i was looking forward to, then i didnt notice it in my jeep til the drive home from where i picked it up.

thanks again black xj

man i agree with that. we call our jeep Old Trusty. knock on wood it's still strong. just minor errors once in a while.
we just recently took a road trip through arkansas (hills mountains curves etc) and it was fun drivin the jeep its like a go-kart. my only thing was is going up hills. it would kick down really hard. it was like it was such a hard effort to keep up 65 mph through those hills. mines a '94 cherokee SE 4.0L 145000 miles on it.
and then we carpooled to missouri. and we rode in a much newer jeep liberty (diesel engine). and i was just so shocked at how it effortlessly flew up the hills hardly ever kickin down like mine did.
now i want a diesel jeep. but i just still wonder why mine doesnt effortlessly climb hills like that liberty. maybe its just cus its old idk...

Torque curve. Diesel engine is made for that low end power. The 4.0 is a gift of god, dont get me wrong, but a diesel will last just as long if not longer. 4.0 diesel anyone?
