I need to replace my grille on my 92 as it is cracked and such. Talked to the local JY and they have some from a 96, and the photos look like the grille has the same attach points and should fit. but if anyone has experience with putting a 96 on a 92, please let me know.

All I can wonder is why you'd want to change to the 96 grille...I've always wanted the opposite swap.

yes all pre 97 grills are compatible

No their not. Theres a difference in early and later grills prior to 97. Go to www.quadratec and look up the grills, that should tell you the compatible years.

Basically it's the addition of the headerpanel trim and not... same with the headlight bezels.

no way man i just pulled all black pieces from junk yard mine is ugly chrome does this mean its not goin to bolt up? its off a 95 xj mine is an 89

mines a 90 with a 96 grill and all the bolt on pionts are the same it was a direct fit

Just to clear things up the 96 fit exact on my 92. no problems at all
